Bio:
Colleen Ottalagano-McGarry, 40, mother of two boys age 11 and 9, English Teacher at Guilderland High School, married to another running fool - just trying to balance it all.  I began running after the loss of my mother to breast cancer in 2001.  I fell in love with the sport and eventually transitioned to racing marathon and then triathlon. I am returning to run specific training after five years of racing Half Ironman distance triathlons.

I am an endurance junkie, but my favorite distance to race is the half marathon.  5K is my biggest challenge, yet I am hopeful that I can still see improvements with age!

Training Goals:
I aim to redefine my goals as a runner in the masters category.  Staying healthy and being more forgiving of myself during training and racing - while still pushing to achieve new milestones is a priority.  After many years of training for and being dedicated to racing one or two A-races a season, I would simply like to race more often!
